McGinty Earns LPGA Tour Card in Final Stage of Q Series →

“COLUMBUS, Ohio – Former Ohio State women's golfer Caley McGinty is LPGA Tour bound after placing tied for 21st in the final qualifying stage of the LPGA Q Series. She will be the 19th player in program history to compete on the LPGA Tour.

The final qualifying rounds were played at Magnolia Grove Golf Club in Mobile, Ala., with the first four rounds alternating between the Crossings (par 72) and Falls (par 71) courses. The final round was played on the Crossings Course.

McGinty finished with a five-round score of 351 (-7). She opened the final qualifying tournament on Thursday, Dec. 5, carding an even 71 and shot a two-over 74 in the second round on Friday. She bounced back in round three on Saturday, shooting her best round of the competition; a seven-under 65. She carded a one-over 72 in round four to make the final cut.”

Tabuena clinches career-best 3rd place at IS Qatar →

MANILA, Philippines -- Miguel Tabuena delivered his finest performance yet on the International Series stage, securing a remarkable joint third-place finish with a closing round of 70 at the IS Qatar.

The event, held at the wind-raked Doha Golf Club, was dominated by American Peter Uihlein, who stormed to a commanding four-stroke victory on Saturday.

Starting the final round of the $2.5-million championship tied for seventh, six strokes adrift of Uihlein, Tabuena staged a strong challenge. He ended a run of five straight pars with three birdies over the next four holes, reigniting hopes of a title run.

Tabuena finishes strong, earns T8 in HK Open; Reed cruises →

MANILA, Philippines — Miguel Tabuena made a strong closing push to secure a Top 8 finish at the Hong Kong Open ruled by former Masters champion Patrick Reed in commanding fashion in Fanling on Sunday. 

The Filipino ace highlighted his 67 with an eagle-birdie finish in the final stretch, matching his best performance in the International Series this year, a result that came after a challenging start to the day.

Korn Ferry Tour Player Gives Emotional Interview After Q-School Victory →

It’s an emotional time of the year within golf, when birdies and bogeys tend to carry more significance and a made putt here, or missed one there, can make a world of difference.

Just ask Marcelo Rozo, who finished 128th on the 2024 Korn Ferry Points list to lose his status just a few months ago...

Yesterday, however, the 35-year-old won his Second Stage site by three shots at Korn Ferry Tour Q-School to earn his status back and, in his interview afterwards, it was all too much.

Kailua’s Nam finishes with eagle in first round of LOTTE Championship →

The LPGA Tour’s LOTTE Championship teed off Wednesday at Hoakalei Country Club, with a couple of golfers with Hawaii ties experiencing memorable rounds.

Kailua native and LPGA Tour rookie Malia Nam made a statement in her opening round, finishing strong with an unforgettable eagle on the 18th hole. The Kaiser High School graduate chipped in from the sand to move to 1-under-par, placing her within the top 45.

Kailua's Malia Nam hopes for strong finish to LPGA rookie season for another year on Tour →

EWA BEACH, Hawaii — Malia Nam still has some work to do.

The LPGA Tour rookie from Kailua was hoping to go low at the Lotte Championship at Hoakalei Country Club last weekend, in the second-to-last standard event of the 2024 season. In that, Nam came up a bit short as she posted a 4-over 292, good for 63rd place.

Hawaii’s Malia Nam Making First LPGA Tour Start in Home State at LOTTE Championship →

Malia Nam had a long list of restaurants that she wanted to hit up as soon as she landed in her home state of Hawaii for the LOTTE Championship presented by Hoakalei. Her first stop?

“It was Zippy's,” said Nam after her first round at Hoakalei Country Club. “I got a large chili bowl with cheese and onions. I always have to get Zippy's. If I didn't get Zippy’s when I come home, I didn't really come home. And poke. I can't forget that. And 7/11 musubi. There's a lot of good food here.”

Brittany Lincicome wanted the closing moments of her 20-year career on the LPGA to culminate as a family affair. She sent a heartfelt request to Annika tournament organizers Dan Doyle and Tim Aaronson for a sponsor invite to end her last full-time season competing less than an hour from her home in Pasadena, Fla. She cried joyfully when she received the invite.

Brittany Lincicome Stepping Away From Full-Time Professional Golf After 20 Years on the LPGA Tour →

Ten years was the original goal for Brittany Lincicome. Her dad had always told her that after a decade on the LPGA Tour, she should be able to retire comfortably and settle down, content to move on to the next thing, having achieved her lifelong dream of becoming a professional athlete.

But 10 years turned into 11, 12 became 15, and now, in 2024, Lincicome has played her 20th and final season as a full-time member of the LPGA Tour. She plans to step away from competitive golf after teeing it up in The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican, calling it quits on what has been an incredibly successful career as a pro golfer.

Longtime LPGA stop in Toledo set to become dual event in 2025 for Epson Tour and Legends players →

For the past 40 years the LPGA has staged an event in Toledo, Ohio. That will change in 2025, as a new dual event featuring the Epson Tour and Legends of the LPGA comes to the northwest Ohio community, the tour has announced.

Former No. 1 Stacy Lewis, a Toledo native, will host the event.

Tabuena charges back with solid 67, ties for 9th →

MANILA, Philippines — Miguel Tabuena fought through continued putting challenges by excelling on long holes, firing a bogey-free 67 to rescue a joint ninth-place finish in the Shinhan Donghae Open, won by Kensei Hirata in Incheon, South Korea on Sunday.

After a frustrating 32-putt round of 71 following consecutive 68s, Tabuena rebounded with five birdies, highlighted by dominant plays on holes 5 and 7, where he carded two-putt birdies. He also gained strokes on the 11th and 17th holes, capping off his day with a birdie on the par-5 18th, this time, on a one-putt finish.

Tabuena fires 66 to be just two off Thai ace in Taiwan →

Thailand’s Suteepat Prateeptienchai continued his impressive march to a second title on the Asian Tour after keeping the lead for the third straight day in the US$1-million Yeangder TPC, with Filipino star Miguel Tabuena continuing to give chase.

Prateeptienchai returned a four-under-par 68 on Saturday for a 198 aggregate, now just two shots ahead of Tabuena at Linkou International Golf & Country Club in Chinese-Taipei.

Will Cannon birdies final hole to win Fortinet Cup Championship →

CALEDON, Ontario – Will Cannon carded a final-round, 1-under 69 to claim his first PGA TOUR-sanctioned victory at PGA TOUR Americas' season-ending Fortinet Cup Championship. With the win, Cannon is headed back to the Korn Ferry Tour as he moved to No. 6 in the Fortinet Cup and earned a spot in The 10.

Scotland’s Sandy Scott tied the low round of the day in 4-under 66, and with a solo-second finish he moved to No. 8 on the season-long points list to earn Korn Ferry Tour status for 2025. Rookie Johnny Keefer retained his spot as No. 1 in the Fortinet Cup and claimed honors as the Fortinet Cup Champion.

Six Epson Tour athletes and University of Alabama alumni have a unique advantage this week, teeing it up on their alma mater’s home course in Tuscaloosa, Ala. at Ol’ Colony Golf Course.

Only playing near a few college towns this season, it’s a perspective that few athletes will get to experience in 2024. But Lauren Stephenson, who recently clinched her LPGA Tour card for the 2025 LPGA Tour season, is loving being back on a familiar course.

Maja Stark and Linn Grant More Comfortable Ahead of Second Solheim Cup Appearances →

Maja Stark and Linn Grant are set for their second Solheim Cup appearances after making their debut in Spain in 2023.The Swedish duo have embarked on similar careers having both turned professional in 2021 and each have six wins on the Ladies European Tour (LET).

Last year in Spain, the pair teamed up together in the foursomes losing their first match 2&1 but winning their second match 1 up. With this being their second outing in Team Europe colours, Stark and Grant now know what to expect when standing on the first tee and feel more comfortable in that situation.

Solheim Cup Rookies Lauren Coughlin, Sarah Schmelzel Showing Out at RTJ →

GAINESVILLE, Va. — Most didn’t know what to expect from Solheim Cup rookies Lauren Coughlin and Sarah Schmelzel this week at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club. But two of the oldest members of the 2024 U.S. Team put those questioners to bed on Friday in both the foursomes and four-ball sessions.

Currently living in Charlottesville, Va., 31-year-old Coughlin has been a fan favorite over the first few days of the biennial team competition, and that adoration for the rookie continued well into the first day of play in Gainesville, Va. The fans roared for the two-time LPGA Tour winner both when she teed off in her morning foursomes match and played in the afternoon four-ball matches, cheers that were just as loud as those received by some of her more popular American counterparts.

Sarah Schmelzel Bringing Grit, Resiliency to U.S. Team as Solheim Cup Rookie →

Sarah Schmelzel had one goal at the beginning of the 2024 LPGA Tour season: make the U.S. Solheim Cup team.

After coming close in 2023, ultimately finishing 16th in the U.S. Solheim Cup Team point standings at the end of the season, and after missing out on the 2023 CME Group Tour Championship by just a single spot, coming 61st in the Race to the CME Globe at the end of regular-season play, Schmelzel knew it was time to buckle down and start really focusing on the things she wanted to accomplish as a professional golfer as she looked ahead to another year competing on the LPGA Tour.

Brooke Matthews Secures LPGA Tour Membership for 2025 Through Epson Tour’s Race for the Card →

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. —

 Following the Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout, the Epson Tour announced today that Brooke Matthews has mathematically clinched her 2025 LPGA Tour card through this season’s Race for the Card. Matthews joins Yahui Zhang, Lauren Stephenson, Fatima Fernandez Cano and Jessica Porvasnik as clinched players, and is the last to be announced before the full top 15 is revealed upon the conclusion of the Epson Tour Championship at Indian Wells in October.

Matthews secured her spot in the top 15 with a tie for fifth finish at the Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout. The result marked her seventh top-10 finish of the year and her fifth top-five result. The 26-year-old sits at No. 5 in the Race for the Card rankings with one tournament remaining.
