Brooke Matthews Secures LPGA Tour Membership for 2025 Through Epson Tour’s Race for the Card →

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. —

Following the Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout, the Epson Tour announced today that Brooke Matthews has mathematically clinched her 2025 LPGA Tour card through this season’s Race for the Card. Matthews joins Yahui Zhang, Lauren Stephenson, Fatima Fernandez Cano and Jessica Porvasnik as clinched players, and is the last to be announced before the full top 15 is revealed upon the conclusion of the Epson Tour Championship at Indian Wells in October.

Matthews secured her spot in the top 15 with a tie for fifth finish at the Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout. The result marked her seventh top-10 finish of the year and her fifth top-five result. The 26-year-old sits at No. 5 in the Race for the Card rankings with one tournament remaining.

Stacy Lewis was the culture-changing captain the U.S. needed to win the Solheim Cup for the first time in 7 years →

GAINESVILLE, Va. — The U.S. Solheim Cup loss on home soil deflated the American players. Then a 36-year-old assistant for the U.S., Lewis shelved the possible role as a task for another day.

All In: Solheim Cup experience as seen through the eyes of LPGA’s Allisen Corpuz →

The 2024 U.S. Solheim Cup team is overdue and hungry for a win after Team Europe retained the cup for a third time in another thrilling finish at Finca Cortesin in Spain last year.

I was watching on the 17th green when the Europeans celebrated Spain’s Carlota Ciganda’s birdie from two feet to beat Nelly Korda 2&1. That victory ensured Team Europe a tie to retain the Solheim Cup, the biggest team competition in women’s golf.

“There are lucky breaks, then there is the break that Allisen Corpuz received Saturday during a crucial point in her match with Nelly Korda against Emily Pedersen and Carlota Ciganda at the Solheim Cup.

Korda and Corpuz were 2 down after three holes in the first foursomes match out in the morning session at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia, sent out to continue the momentum that the U.S. had from holding a 6-2 lead after the first day.”
