U.S. Solheim Cup captain Stacy Lewis already talking about Rose Zhang making team →

“There was only one way Rose Zhang could become eligible for September's Solheim Cup in Spain.

She needed an LPGA win before then, and in her first professional start three weeks ago at the Mizuho Americas Open, the 20-year-old emerged victorious, becoming the first woman to accomplish that feat since Beverly Hanson in 1951.

That caught the U.S. Solheim Cup captain's eye.”

Though a Runner-Up to One of Golf's Great Cinderella Stories, Chad Campbell Has No Regrets →

“For every winner, there are 155 losers. In three of the four majors, that is the result.

Twenty years ago at the PGA Championship at Oak Hill, Chad Campbell was one of those 155, but this loss was a little more difficult for the Texan to shake.

The 29-year-old had a front row seat to one of the most amazing shots in major championship history as Shaun Micheel hit a 175-yard 7-iron from the left rough that resulted in an all-time walk-off shot. The ball rolled to within inches of the cup.”

The Rare Albatross Lands—Again!—at LPGA Tournament →

“An albatross is rare in any week at a professional golf event. After all, making a 2 on a par 5 happens far less frequently than holes-in-one, with only 48 of them in the LPGA Tour's 73-year history.

Yet Superstition Mountain Golf Club in Gold Canyon, Ariz., has celebrated two this week at the Drive On Championship, with major winner Yuka Saso holing out on the par-5 second for a deuce during the second round on Friday. She joined PGA of America pro Roy Smith, who made his albatross as a participant in the tournament’s pro-am on Wednesday.”
