The LPGA Tour’s LOTTE Championship teed off Wednesday at Hoakalei Country Club, with a couple of golfers with Hawaii ties experiencing memorable rounds.

Kailua native and LPGA Tour rookie Malia Nam made a statement in her opening round, finishing strong with an unforgettable eagle on the 18th hole. The Kaiser High School graduate chipped in from the sand to move to 1-under-par, placing her within the top 45.
