Thanks to a blazing fastball that has been clocked in the mid-90's, the Chicago White Sox selected Nathan Jones in the 5th round of the 2007 amateur entry draft.
During the 2007 season, Nathan threw 56.1 innings and held batters to a .158 BA. His top 2007 performance came against Indianapolis, in which Nathan threw 7.1 innings, allowing only 2 hits, and striking out 9 batters. For the season, Nathan finished with a 2.88 ERA, a 4-5 record, 2 saves, and struck out 9.6 batters a game. The last figure was good for first among GLVC pitchers. | ![]() |
