Nate was named back to back 1st Team Big Ten during his sophomore and junior seasons at Minnesota.  He batted .359 with 6 home runs, 22 doubles, and 32 RBI during his junior season.   Nate was then selected in the 28th round of the 2008 MLB June Draft.   In 2009 at Single A Beloit, Nate batted .253 with 3 home runs and 30 RBI.
