Dan DeLucia
June 1, 1985 P AStanding at six feet four inches tall, DeLucia was an intimidating sight for opposing batters during his time as a Buckeye. What stood even taller was the hard work, dedication, and perseverance DeLucia showed as he returned to the mound in 2008, only 10 months after having Tommy John surgery. The most impressive aspect of DeLucia's reign as ace of the OSU pitching staff were his career statistics. In 52 starts, he posted a 24-13 record with a 3.91 ERA. A 1st Team Big Ten selection as a junior, Dan was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 35th round of the 2008 MLB draft.
