A six foot five inch heat slinging lefty, Minnesota’s Kyle Carr finished his junior campaign second on the team with 69.1 innings of work. A Second-Team All-Big Ten selection in 2007, Carr was drafted in the 12th round in this years MLB draft by the Minnesota Twins.   A three sport stand-out in high school, Carr made an immediate impact as member of the Golden Gophers pitching staff. In his career at Minnesota, Carr had 129 strikeouts in 138.1 innings, leaving him an astonishing strikeout-per-nine inning ratio of 8.39.
